Simon Buck

The founder of Devon4x4 Ltd has been involved with 4WD vehicles and motor sport of one kind or another most of his adult life.
Simon is one of the best known faces in competitive off-roading and has competed in and won some of the toughest events in the world. His vast technical knowledge provides him with an insight into every aspect of vehicle preparation.

Liz Buck

Liz heads up the office team at Devon 4x4, having been married to Simon since 1984, shares the passion for all things 4x4 and has a vast knowledge of the 4x4 market place.
On non competitive events Liz can often be found in the co driver’s seat of the familiar Devon 4x4 vehicle.

Ryan Buck

Manager

Ryan started work for the group at the age of 14, when he completed college he trained for a life at sea, however due to the economic turn down in 2008 he became a full time employee of Devon 4x4. It soon became apparent that Ryan’s skills lay in IT and systems; he has since re-trained as an accountant.

Several years on and Ryan responsibilities cover everything from accounts, systems organisation and implementation to supporting the day to day running of the group.

Martin Kingdon

Workshop Manager

Martin joined Devon 4x4 in 1997 as a technician and bought a vast mechanical knowledge to the company. Over the years Martin has climbed through the ranks from technician to General Manager and supports Simon and Liz in the day to day running of the company.
Martin has taken part in many of-road events both as driver and co driver.

Jake Lloyd

Sales Team Leader

Jake relocated from London to join the team at the beginning of 2007 as a store man.
It soon became apparent through his love of all things off-road that Jake was far better suited to the role of sales person and is now progressed to Sales Team Leader, his knowledge being honed from competing in several off-road events every year.

Michael Stabb

Sales Team

Mike joined the sales team of D44 Store during 2014, Mike has a love of all things 4x4, particularly the Japanese variety, and he competes competitively at local level with his Mitsubishi Sport, and is a member of the local 4x4 response team.

Jon Tandy

Sales Team

Jon joined during 2013. Jon is our Land Rover parts guru and is responsible for the day to day running of Replace-a-part and also supports the D44 Store sales team, a keen Land Rover owner ranging from Series through to his beloved Disco 2.

Ivan Kitteridge

Workshop Foreman

Ivan joined Devon 4x4 as a senior technician at the beginning of 2004 and enjoyed a fruitful 3 years before emigrating to Canada with his Canadian wife, Ivan and his wife returned to the UK in 2010 and we were very pleased to re-employ, Ivan has accumulated a vast knowledge for 4x4’s over the years and puts it to good use in the Devon 4x4 work place.

Andrew Owen

Motor Vehicle Technician

Andrew joined the Devon 4x4 workshops in 2004 after a tour in Iraq with the army. Andrew is a keen off-roader and cherishes his Land Rover Tdci 110. He has a strong back ground not only in the motor industry but also in the tyre industry.

Chris Pryor

Motor Vehicle Technician

Chris Joined Devon 4x4 in 2014, a time served technician who has honed his skills with Devon 4x4, Chris has played a major part in many of our projects over the last 4 years. Chris is a 4x4 enthusiast and lover of performance cars.

Mike Julian

Warehouse Team leader

Mike came to work for Devon 4x4 in 2010, raised on a farm Mike was an enthusiastic off roader. Mike started out as a stores person and has since risen to become team leader responsible for both the smooth running of warehouse operations and dispatch.

Simon Day

Manufacturing Supervisor

Simon joined D44 in 2008 as a welder/fabricator; Simon has also trained in CAD during his time with D44 and has risen to be the natural team leader dividing his time between design and fabrication, helping to create some of the great range of D44 products as well as being responsible for many of our one off bespoke projects.

D44 Fabricator

Mike joined Devon 4x4 as a stores person; however his real passion was fabrication, therefore when a vacancy arose for a trainee Mike was there, now several years later he has proved to be an invaluable member of the team. Mike has a love for all things motor sport, his particular discipline is drifting.

Andy Roberts

Store Person

Andy is our ever smiling stores person who joined us in 2016; he is responsible for the warehouse, over seeing all inward and outward bound deliveries. Andy loves all things outdoors especially if it includes using his Discovery.

Luke Watton

Apprentice Vehicle Technician

Luke has already completed one apprenticeship as an electrical engineer, however his love has always been 4x4’s and when the opportunity arose at Devon 4x4 he grabbed it, when Luke isn’t working on 4x4’s here he can be found working on his Defender 90 at home.

Apprentice Vehicle Technician

Zack beat off several applicants for the apprentice position in 2017; he is progressing well and has immersed himself in his training.

Sam Wheeldon

Motor Vehicle Technician

After finishing college Sam joined the army and trained as a vehicle technician, Sam has gained considerable experience on everything from 4x4’s to heavy commercials and brings a wealth of knowledge with him. Sam was already known to us as he was always at our trade counter buying parts for his Defender.
