Land Rover Defender 90 Td5 Light Overland Preparation

To prepare this vehicle for a European road trip this summer we installed twin Odyssey PC1500 batteries in a D44 mounting tray, controlled by an Albright ignition powered battery isolator.

In the rear we fitted twin power sockets wired up to the second battery allowing a fridge or camp lighting to be used when the car is switched off.

On the roof, a pair of heavy duty roof bars hold the James Baroud Space roof tent in place and for sun shade, a 2 meter Bushranger roll out awning is fitted to the left side of the vehicle.

To help with fuel and water carrying, a pair of Front Runner side mount jerry can holders are used. One has the Front Runner water container with tap, the other will have the customers jerry can full of diesel.
