Standard Class Challenge Truck / Engine mounts and chassis painting
With the chassis repaired and the engine / gearbox ready, the final bits of fabrication could take place on the chassis. Using the original gearbox mounts to keep the propshafts and floor panels standard, new engine mounts would need to be made.
The shape and size of the engine mounts to suit the standard Tdi engine is fairly simple, so it wasn't too long before everything was sitting in place, and the chassis could be painted.
