next week ill be getting a new suspension kit, so ill need some new propshafts for the angles etc

but im not sure what to buy? my defender was a 200tdi, but had a 300tdi conversion

the other day the front prop fell apart, so i got given another prop which turned out to be about 1" short? im guessing this is a 300 prop?

so I need a 200 prop right? just not sure on all the size differences, they have about 5 different sizes in MM?

cheers

Just measure what you needed as in from diff flange to transferbox flange front and rear and then if you purchase from a decent 4x4 supplier they will sort it out for you.

this is correct, as you say R is right and down.

Have a look at the Bailey Morris props (sold here by D4x4), they're very strong :)

With that measurement, it sounds like a 200Tdi set up.
For a wide angle front prop PROPWA654 for a GKN or PROPWA654/40 for a Bailey Morris.
For a standard version, FRC8390

You have the closed length which is the shaft completely compressed.
Its open length is the length of it fully open and the working length is the middle between open and closed.
If a shaft has 100mm of slip then 50mm is the middle of its working length.
If you have 680mm between your flanges then you want the prop to be running at between 635mm to 655mm as this allows for more droop than compression.
Hence why i said you'd want a 654 length prop ;wink
