Simon Buck

The founder of Devon4x4 Ltd has been involved with 4WD vehicles and motor sport of one kind or another most of his adult life.

Simon is one of the best known faces in competitive off-roading and has competed in and won some of the toughest events in the world. His vast technical knowledge provides him with an insight into every aspect of vehicle preparation.

Liz Buck

Liz heads up the office team at Devon 4x4, having been married to Simon since 1984, shares the passion for all things 4x4 and has a vast knowledge of the 4x4 market place.

On non competitive events Liz can often be found in the co driver’s seat of the familiar Devon 4x4 vehicle.

Martin Kingdon

Martin joined Devon 4x4 in 1997, as a technician and bought a vast mechanical knowledge to the company, over the years Martin has climbed through the ranks from technician to General Manager and supports Simon and Liz in the day to day running of the company.

Martin has taken part in many of-road events both as driver and co driver.

Jake Lloyd

Jake relocated from London to join the team at the beginning of 2007 as a store man.

It soon became apparent through his love of all things off-road that Jake was far better suited to the role of sales person and is now one of our key sales team, his knowledge being honed from competing in several off-road events every year.

Ryan Buck

Ryan joined the team full time in 2008, having previously worked in the service station part time whilst at college. He now combines his duties which include book keeping, coding, and ordering, whilst studying to become an accountant.

Mike Julian

Mike joined Devon 4x4 in 2010, starting out as a store man, Mike soon moved to despatch which complimented his organisational skills. After a year in despatch, Mike found his true calling and occupies one of the sales team desks, having been an off roader for many years Mike has a very strong knowledge of off road equipment and accessories which he now puts to good use.

Natasha Elder

Tash, as she likes to be known, arrived at the beginning of 2012, Tash works as an office junior and is responsible for adding data to the Devon 4x4 web site. Tash is a fan of four hooves as opposed four wheel drive and has represented England in the mounted games.

Rob works on business development; he has been in the technical outdoor industry for over fifteen years. Spending most of his spare time adventuring into inaccessible areas to climb or just explore. He will soon be starting his first Land Rover build, focusing on overlanding to get him and his outdoor kit even further off the beaten track.

Ivan Kittredge

Ivan joined Devon 4x4 as a senior technician at the beginning of 2004 and enjoyed a fruitful 3 years before emigrating to Canada with his Canadian wife, Ivan and his wife returned to the UK in 2010 and we were very pleased to re-employ, Ivan has accumulated a vast knowledge for 4x4’s over the years and puts it to good use in the Devon 4x4 work place.

Nick Bolt

Nick joined Devon 4x4 as an apprentice in 2003, Nick is now employed as a motor vehicle technician and aside from routine repairs is responsible for winch repairs and work shop fabrication, he is also a very enthusiastic off-roader competing in several major off-road events.

Andrew Owen

Andrew joined the Devon 4x4 workshops in 2004 after a tour in Iraq with the army. Andrew is a keen off-roader and cherishes his TD5 90, he has a strong back ground not only in the motor industry but also in the tyre industry.

Tom Mallins

Tom had already built his first off-roader by the time he joined Devon 4x4 as an apprentice mechanic, three and a half years on and Tom is still an enthusiastic off-roader, and has survived the Devon 4x4 induction.

Matt Cook

Matt heads up D44. Matt has been Simon’s co driver for twelve years and is probably one of the most complete co drivers on the off-road circuit.

Matt Joined Devon 4x4 in 2003 from land Rover where he had been a project engineer, two years later D44 was formed to design and manufacture the now iconic range of D44 products which Matt now leads.

Simon Day

Simon works with Mathew in the D44 fabrication shop, when admiring the D44 welding; the chances are that Simon is responsible. The four by four bug must be catching as Simon has just bought his first land Rover.

Andrew Stone-Wright
