HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY - June 19th-29th 2010 (http://www.h4hrally.co.uk)

The HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 will start at Noon on Saturday 19th June 2010 at a secret location in North Wiltshire. After using byways on Salisbury Plain we will all go to Portsmouth to embark on the ferry over to France. It will be a 1650 mile/2640 km expedition encompassing 6 countries in 10 days, this non-speed event comprising a maximum of 30+ teams will be part history tour, fun competition, part off-road driving and part club-type social, open to all types of 4x4 vehicles. The money raised by teams will be donated to our chosen charity, HELP FOR HEROES (http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk).

The HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 follows the path and tells the story of the Allied Invasion through Europe and includes parts fabled by the Band of Brothers book and television series. As young men, who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear, the Allied Forces landed in France early on D-Day morning – 6th June 1944.

The liberation of Europe had commenced.

If you are interested in joining us on our own epic journey, and want to raise funds for HELP FOR HEROES , please take a look at the website; http://www.h4hrally.co.uk for all the details. If you want further information please use the ‘Contact’ page of the website and we’ll get back to you.

That's not a problem at all, the event is open to anyone with a 4x4. The monies that are raised will be going to the Help For Heroes charity.

My wife and I are thinking about taking part, is it Road Rally rules like the MAC is based on (we have done the MAC twice but only as a bit of fun. The CT Freelander we took struggled to keep up with the dealer's Navara and Cruiser) This time we would be in a old V8 110 so again just a bit of fun.

I like the idea of seeing the sights you have marked on the website before we emigrate.

Hiya, Yes it will be Road Rally rules like the Mac. Like yourself, Ive done the Mac several times (6th year in 2010 Smiley ) and this has been extremely helpful regards to organising our H4H Rally Smiley

We have wanted to visit WWII sites, etc for many years now so we thgt why not visit them whilst having a 4x4 aspect as well, something else we have a passion for Smiley

Just a quick update - due to places started to fill up, and also having an immense amount of interest in the H4H 4x4 Rally, we are happy to announce that we are upping the limit of entrants to 40 vehicles/teams (entrants after that will go on to a reserve list). Please remember that the places available are based on a 'first come, first served' basis
