aye i know, but i count 14 days of challenges on that list - no way i could afford to come down to all of them - time and money wise. It works out about a 7 hour drive each way!

Totally agree as do many other guys I know. There just isnt enough events in the NE right now unfortunately! Travelling to events isnt the biggest problem in my opinion, its the worry of how you get your truck back if you break it and you dont have the luxury of a trailer or lorry!

fancy doing the same trip with a trailer pulled by a Tdi Disco? Not including ferry time and rest stops Three Peaks took me 18hrs and 150 ltrs of derv each way  :cry:  :cry:

my point being that i have to consider travelling time when looking at one day events!


oh and you're right SB, that aint the south, sorry - thats like how i get narked when people call Manchester 'far north'!!

I live in east yorkshire and i would like to start doing winch challenge events as I have only had my landy for 2 years (scince i was 15) and spent alot of time modding and doing pay and plays Cheesy , is there any around my area?

take me 7 hours to get from one side of london to the other  :evil: and theres the south and theres the north, midlands is somewhere you pass through getting to the other  :wink: except when theres some off roading to stop off at while driving through  :lol:
