Next the cab was removed and the cage was refitted so the roll cage mounts could be completed without hindrance

With this job complete the roll cage and tray were sent off for powder coating whilst the chassis had all the final welding carried out. It is a lot easier to rotate the chassis to carry out any welding of the awkward sections.

The next job was to paint the chassis; we remove all the welding splatter and clean up any rough areas. Next we degrease the chassis and then we etch prime. When this is dry we spray in satin black and you can see the result your self. It’s worth mentioning at this point that while all this is taking place all the suspension components like the radius arms are away being zinc plated ready for the rebuild.
