110 Trayback / Rear Storage
I wanted to keep the top of the tray as clear as possible so we needed to maximise the storage within. We settled on one large box for all the main spares ECT and a smaller locker for all the recovery equipment at the rear of the tray that would be easy to access. The job of making the roll cage, rear tray and all the storage took 8 days and was a labour of love. I have to admit that it did pull slightly but nothing that we couldn’t over come. In addition to all the storage several lashing eyes and reinforcing plates had to be added for items such as Hi Lift, ground anchor and the net that we were going to use to lash our canoe bags and helmets, then we fitted all the mounts for the lights (including our over the roof XGT’s) and raised air intake.
Once the whole frame was secure it was removed so that we could weld the undersides and complete the linishing.
